What is Threads of India?
Threads of India is an ethical clothing brand based in Australia, offering sustainable fashion for women. Our collections include hand block print dresses, co-ord sets, tops, skirts, and bags, all ethically handcrafted in India. Each garment reflects our values of sustainability, artisanship, and timeless style.
Do I need to create an account to shop?
No, you can shop without creating an account. However, we recommend registering so you can enjoy exclusive offers, faster checkout, and access to order history.
Orders & Checkout
How do I know my order is confirmed?
Once your purchase is complete and payment is authorized, you will receive a confirmation email with your Order Number, item details, and the amount paid.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Unfortunately, once an order is confirmed it cannot be modified or cancelled as processing begins automatically. If you would like to add more items, please place a new order.
What if I entered the wrong address at checkout?
Please email us at info@threadsofindia.com.au immediately. If your order hasn’t shipped, we will update the address. If it’s already dispatched, we will need to wait for it to return to us and then resend it to the correct address. A re-shipping fee of AUD $10 applies.
Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
What is your refund and exchange policy?
We offer a 15-day return and exchange policy from the date your order is received. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with all tags attached.
- Change of Mind: At this stage, we can only offer store credit for change-of-mind returns. Requests must be made within 48 hours of receiving your order.
- Made-to-Order Items: These are non-returnable and non-refundable.
- Return shipping costs are at the buyer’s expense unless the item is faulty or damaged.
What if I receive a faulty or damaged item?
Please email us with photos within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund at no extra cost.
What if something is missing from my order?
Sometimes items ship in separate parcels. Please check your shipping confirmation email and delivery notes. If something is still missing, contact us at info@threadsofindia.com.au with your order number and details.
Garment Care
How should I care for my garments?
Our artisan-made clothing is crafted with delicate fabrics and techniques like hand block printing and natural dyeing. To preserve their beauty:
- Dry Clean Only for quilted or delicate handmade pieces.
- Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent if necessary.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Air dry flat or in shade to protect colors and fabric.
- Iron on low heat, reverse side only if needed.
What fabrics do you use?
We use natural, eco-friendly fabrics such as cotton and linen, chosen for their comfort, durability, and breathability. Many garments are hand block printed with natural dyes, making them sustainable and skin-friendly.
Shipping & Delivery
When will my order be shipped?
Orders are dispatched within 3 business days (or up to 5 days during peak periods such as new releases, holidays, and sales). Once shipped, you’ll receive an email with your tracking number.
What are your delivery timelines?
- Australia Post (within Australia):
- Standard: 3–7 business days
- Express: 1–5 business days
- International (via DHL & Australia Post):
- Express: 3–5 business days
- Standard: 5–10 business days
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Please note: international orders may attract customs duties or taxes, which are not included in your order and must be paid by the customer.
Can I track my order?
Yes, tracking details will be emailed once your order is dispatched.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, we offer E-Gift Cards. Simply add one to your cart and enter the recipient’s details. They’re valid for 1 year and delivered instantly by email. Gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
