📍 Residency Period: May 2026

🌱 WHY THIS MATTERS

This residency is more than a retail showcase.

It is recognition of:

• Our commitment to sustainable and circular fashion
• The preservation of traditional Indian hand block printing
• Small-batch, slow production practices
• Thoughtful design that reduces waste
• Community engagement and public activation

Being selected affirms our belief that fashion can honour heritage, protect artisans, and respect the planet.

🧵 OUR CIRCULAR APPROACH

At Threads of India, sustainability is not a trend — it is our foundation.

We practice:

✔ Handcrafted block printing using traditional wooden blocks
✔ Small-batch production to avoid overstock
✔ Use of natural fabrics
✔ Fabric off-cuts transformed into accessories like scrunchies and bags
✔ Slow fashion design meant to be worn for years

Every garment tells a story — from artisan hands in India to wardrobes in Australia.

👗 THE RESIDENCY COLLECTION

During our Art Pod residency, we will present a curated collection of:

• Hand block print dresses
• Artisan-crafted bags
• Sustainable accessories
• Limited slow-fashion pieces

Each piece represents heritage craft reimagined for modern Australia.
